The Caravana is extremely concerned regarding further threats and harassment of Leonardo Jaimes Marín, other members of Equipo Jurídico Pueblos, and other human rights defenders. We are worried about the continued reported acts of persecution, surveillance, and stigmatisation of lawyers and other human rights defenders who are members of Equipo Jurídico Pueblos (EJP). We are concerned that such action is interfering with the ability of EJP members to undertake their work in defence of human rights.
