We previously announced that Caravana was looking for a new UK-based part-time coordinator to provide vital support to the running of our organisation.
We are pleased to announce that our search was successful and we welcome Ana Bolena Chamie to the role. Ana Bolena is a human rights lawyer and human ecologist with over 17 years of valuable experience in implementing high-impact projects in fragile states. Ana’s professional background spans a range of sectors, including humanitarian, governmental, and charity work in Sweden and the UK. Ana is a seasoned professional with a rich background in human rights law and human ecology. Her extensive experience has equipped her with a deep understanding of the challenges faced by vulnerable communities, enabling her to develop innovative and sustainable solutions. Her work reflects a deep understanding of the socio-political landscape in these regions, enabling her to implement effective strategies that promote human rights and environmental sustainability.
Carme Clavel Arcas, who has been our coordinator since February 2022, will be working with Ana Bolena during December to ensure a smooth handover. We would like to thank Carme for her hard work and commitment to the objectives and mission of the Colombian Caravana during this time.
